The Camillus Construction & Demolition Landfill must operate in compliance with very strict regulations as established by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  Failure to comply can result in heavy fines, civil, and possible criminal actions against the Town.  Residents’ cooperation in meeting the rigid operating requirements of the Landfill will be an important aspect of successful, worry free operation.  

 

 

LANDFILL GUIDELINES:

CAN Accept:
 

  • Brick, Concrete, Glass, 

  • Wood (construction grade)

  • Insulation (non-asbestos), Shingles (nonfriable-asbestos),

  • Metals Incidental to Construction, 

  • Plaster/Drywall, Wall Coverings, 

  • Plumbing Fixtures, Wiring (without liquids), 

  • Road Scrapings,  

  • Tires, Rims, Auto & Truck Tires (For Additional Fee)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Landfill CANNOT Accept:

 

  • Friable Asbestos, Ballasts, Batteries, Cardboard

  • Drums/Tanks/Chemicals, Engines, Garbage

  • Hospital Waste, Liquid Containers, Paint/Paint Cans

  • Television Sets, Refrigerators, or other Electronic devices 

  • Upholstered Furniture, Mattresses

  • Grass/Yard Waste, Brush, Bushes, Trees, Stumps
